History of the School of Health Sciences
The Surya Sehat Midwifery Academy of Surabaya (Akbid Surya Sehat Surabaya) has merged with Dr. Soetomo University of Surabaya (Universitas Dr. Soetomo Surabaya). After extensive efforts and processes, the Surya Sehat Midwifery Academy has officially become part of Dr. Soetomo University.
According to the decision of the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (MENRISTEK DIKTI) regarding the transfer of management of the Surya Sehat Midwifery Academy to Dr. Soetomo University, the School of Health Sciences has been formally established. It offers two programs: D-III in Midwifery and D-III in Blood Bank Technology.
The School of Health Sciences is led by Dean Miftahul Khairoh SST. M.Kes. Since its establishment, the School of Health Sciences has trained many professional and competent midwives.
